NutshellMail Manifesto
We believe the Web is a big, giant, continuous conversation. Our mission is to help facilitate the discussion, to provide interesting and thoughtful content, and to help everyone to better access, manage and monitor their online communications. In a nutshell (sorry I couldn’t resist), this is the driving force behind NutshellMail.com and our blog “Get the Nut.”
The Web has made the World a much smaller and more interdependent community. No other technological advancement has done so much to bring people from distinct backgrounds and different parts of the world so close together. The Internet has entrenched itself into our daily lives. We use the Web to communicate, to learn, to collaborate, to organize, to profit, to give, to share, and to be a part of a community that has no geographical boundaries. However, it isn’t perfect. There is still much room for advancement, both, technological and cultural. And it is up to people like you to help it grow and thrive.
From social networking to blogging to instant messaging to the grandfather of all internet applications, email, there are so many ways we communicate through the Web. NutshellMail.com was developed to help us all better access and manage the various ways we all communicate. This blog, “Get the Nut,” was not created solely to attract new users to NutshellMail, but to educate its existing and future users, as well as ourselves, on the very issues it was designed to address. NutshellMail is a work in progress and it can only evolve into the application you want it to be with your input. We encourage you to post comments, introduce new subjects, and invite your friends to join the global conversation.
We pledge to you, our readers, to always be honest, to speak straight, and to listen to your feedback. We are ordinary people. We are more than technologist, marketers, and capitalist. We are genuinely interested in both learning from you and sharing our thoughts. If along the way we can help to simplify your online life, then we will have achieved our mission.
The Web is a big, giant, continuous conversation. So speak up and join the party.
Sincerely,
Mark and David
